Soft Tissue Treatment

My background in the fitness industry complements my degree in Sports Rehabilitation, allowing me to cater to all types of people. We take a hands-on approach to soft tissue release and don't use any electrotherapy in our clinic. I work with anyone from sedentary folks to athletes, young to old. I have an eye for observing what movement and muscles need work and the knowledge to examine, treat, and prescribe exercises to address the issues at hand.

Deep Tissue & Sports Massage

Sports Massage or Deep Tissue Massage is a great way to help loosen out tight and tired muscles and help rejuvenate them. Deep tissue work gets into those deeper layers of muscles and helps iron out tight areas. Deep pressure is also used in Sports Massage but with a faster stroke.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling involves the insertion of a sterile needle (only used once) into a trigger point or knot in the muscle. This trigger point causes pain and can refer pain to different areas in the body. Research has proven relief of pain in these points as a result of dry needling.

Vacuum Cupping

Another form of deep tissue treatment, favoured by anyone not keen on dry needling. Cupping Therapy helps increase blood flow to deep tight muscles as it lifts up the skin and superficial muscles into the cup.

Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Taping® is specially designed tape that provides support and stability to help aid recovery and the healing process. It moves with the mechanics of the muscles and joints, helps relieve pain, aids lymphatic drainage, and decreases inflammation. Studies have proven physiological effects on muscles, ligaments, skin, and the lymphatic and circulatory systems.
